OECD Better Life Index

Sorry for the long time between posts It’s Tour de France time here and its hard to break away from the TV each night. I really enjoy watching the race as well as the stunning countryside of France. One summer I plan on renting a RV and following the Tour as it meanders across France for three weeks.

Speaking of France, the Paris based Organization for Cooperation and Development (OECD) just released a new index called the “Better Life Index”. It contains a basket of statistics beyond just looking at the economy of a country. Included are stats on housing, safety (crime), education, healthcare and work-life balance. The result is a rather pretty “flower” that shows OECD’s ranking of various indicators for each OECD country. You can examine each country or look at categories and how each country ranks within it.
